I started working for Viva IT about a month ago, as part of my apprenticeship scheme with 3AAA Leicester, studying Social Media and Digital Marketing. This is my first full-time job since finishing my A-Levels in the Summer.
I was really looking forward to working at Viva IT because it was my first ever opportunity to use my marketing skills outside of the classroom, and in a real working environment. I was excited about gaining some experience and learning new things along the way. Something else that I was looking forward to was the bright Viva IT office, with its white walls and large windows, making it a lot different to the classroom environment I was used to.
I have spent my first month here learning about different methods of marketing and how they can be used within the company’s marketing plan, most of it being stuff I’d never even heard of! In addition to this, I’ve been promoting the events we’ve been sponsoring, and helping to create designs for websites and flyers.
It’s been a busy and challenging month, but I’ve learnt so much about marketing that I didn’t know prior to working here. Everyone in the office is really fun, and the overall atmosphere is one that I’m very happy in.
I'm excited for next month and all of the future months I spend here, so I can continue to develop and help Viva IT's growth in the process!
